Well hello there loves!
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. I sure did, mine was quite relaxing and turned out really just how I wanted it to be. One of my girlfriend was visiting from another state so we had some girl time to catch up on much needed conversations. My girlfriends and I are the homey winos who meet up to chit chat, watch movies or TV shows, and most importantly, gossip. Ha! Yes, go ahead and judge us, you know you do it too. Sometimes it is “Oh have you seen so and so Facebook post? Did you know so and so was has a new boo? Did you see the episode of *insert craziest reality TV show name here?*
When my girlfriend told me she was coming into town I instantly knew I had to pull out my Sutter Home Moscato and their New Moscato blends, especially for a warm summer day, the perfect wine to enjoy. I had one bottle at home and I knew one wasn’t enough for us, so I went to my local liquor store and grabbed another. She loves the Moscato flavor and I love the Pink Moscato flavor so we were both satisfied. This is the beauty of Sutter Home, they offer something for everyone with so many unique varieties. I can tell you, each of my girlfriends has a flavor they prefer and this really makes every occasion a little more special.
To add that extra touch, I decided to make a yummy cheese platter for my girlfriend and I. A cheese-variety platter is always a good idea when drinking Sutter Home wines. It’s is super easy and fun to make and each of your guest will find a favorite item on the platter.
Here’s how I made mine:
Ingredients:
Turkey Breast Slices
4 Cheese assortment (American, Pepper Jack, Provolone, & Cheddar)
Strawberries
Blueberries
Raspberries
Rosemary Crackers
Almond Slices
Dried Cranberries
Chocolate Chips
Cottage Cheese
There is really no exact measurements to use, you can add more of what you and your guests collectively enjoy and make it fun and colorful. Serve it on a cheese sledge, mild cutting board or ceramic cutting board.
