Ocean Blue Romper w/ The Mint Julep Boutique+ Giveaway

A girl cannot have enough rompers, it's law. No arguments around it, the more rompers, the merrier. If you've been following me on Instagram or just this blog, you would know how much I love rompers. The main reason is, they are easy to style and, all you'd have to worry about are your shoes and accessories. Rompers are great replacements to the LBD (Little Black Dress) and gives you a sustained option. Trust me on this one guys!

When The Mint Julep Boutique asked me to wear one of their rompers, I was elated. We chose this easy chiffon-squared lace one to share with you all.
Of course you know how I feel about rompers, aside from that, the gorgeous eye-let that graces the front and the slight open back, gave this romper the perfect ump of sexy and class.   Did I mention the gold collar line that make sit easy for you to accessories! why? because you likely wont need a necklace. Yes, one less thing to worry about. Give or take, you cannot go wrong with this one. How pretty is this baby-blue color too?

Maxi With Threads For Thought

Well hello sunshine darlings! A happy new week to you all. Today I am coming to you with this to-die-for maxi dress courtesy of Threads For Thought. Threads For Thought is a fashion brand that carries both male and female clothing with the core standard of sustainability and ethics. I fell in love with those standards before I fell in love with their clothing. This dress I am wearing is the Trina dress in Red Pepper. I was amazed at the quality and comfort of this dress. My first inclination was that I will be able to wear this dress over and over and it will withstand multiple washes. I've already envisioned packing it for warm vacations.
I paired it with gold accessories to balance the rust and contrast the blue. Stayed tuned because next week I am going to feature two more pieces of Threads For Thought clothing. In the mean time head over to their website and use this code styleweekender20 receive 20% off your purchase.

Skinny Cut-Off Denim

Happy Friday babes. Yes, thankfully it's the weekend. Today wanted to share with you an easy weekend wear, especially for these hot summer days. Let's talk about these cut off skinnys that I am wearing. They are from LOFT. I generally buy only work clothes from LOFT but, I am now realizing they have a great selection of clothes for all occasions. This top was from the Lilly for Target collection. See other Lilly Pulitzer for Target post here Lilly for Target Romper , Boom Boom Lilly Pulitzer Dress and Pom Pom Shorts.
When I paired this top with this denim I wanted the cool vibe of light, soft colors. Adding these gold Lilly For Target wedges, balanced perfectly against the yellow and light wash denim.
Off topic here, but is anyone else addicted to Starbucks refreshers during the summer months? Also did you know refreshers come in a size Trenta? Yup, a big ole cup of awesomeness.
Anyway, let me let you all go. Have a great weekend darlings.

5 Books You Must Read

1. The Alchemist by Paul Coelho: A Metaphor based on the idea of fulfilling your dream. This has to be the most powerful book in my library (both digital and hard copy). I re-read it whenever I need a kicker.

2. Brave New World and Brave New World Revisted by Aldous Huxley: I would call this an 'important book/s' especially if you are connected with your social  & governing surroundings. This book was first publish in 1932 yet it connects very much to today's reality . It is quite utopic and leads you to question, parallel and envision society. It's up for multiple interpretations and I would love to hear your thoughts on them.

3. I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou: A cold autobiography the author gives you a perspective on neglected childhood, segregation and self love. It is quite hard to read because of the exposed abused, neglect and, sadness. The great thing I took away from this book was, overcoming adversity. It really helps to put life into perspective, whether you personally relate to the story or not. That's one of the beauties of this read.

4. Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie: Two Words- Read it. An immigrant woman takes us through her journey of strength, struggle, love and life. Simply put.

5. Dreams From My Father by Barack Obama: An open memoir that takes you through the life of the 44th President of the United States. What I love about this book is how easy it was to read and how honest it was. What made it more interesting was that I got to see the sitting President in and unfiltered light through his growth from boy to man.

A Navy Summer

Well Hello love bugs! Happy Monday to you all. Hope you had a safe and wonderful weekend. Today I am sharing this simple yet cute summer look. All navy pretty much with pops of color here and there. Sometimes, I like adding pops of color depending on my mood. Clearly I was in a super jolly mood. I even wore a purple lipstick.

At time whenever I am getting dress, I try multiple options, other times I just let me inner fashionista guide me and grab for whatever is coming off the top of the head. This look was just that, off the top-of-my-head quick go!
