Hello 2018 + Sharing 10 Things About Me

Hi Loves!

A Happy New Year to you all. I want to wish you all the best for the year and that whatever plans and goals you set out for, you will have the health, strength, and discipline to execute them. I wasn’t sure I wanted to write a “New Year” post but knowing that I have had so many new readers last year I decided I wanted to reintroduce myself to my old readers and introduce myself to my new readers.

I’ll tell you 10 things about me and if you are up to it, you can comment in the comment section and let me know who you are too. I would definitely love to get to know more about you all who read my blog. I know you are there, it shows in my analytics that you are reading, I just don’t know who you are.

So here goes:

1. I was born and raised in Jamaica, a small town in the parish of Hanover. I’m super country, you probably cannot tell, but I am. I have been living in Los Angeles for 12 years now and yes I have an accent.

2. I’m 32 (as of year 2018) Ha! I find that many women are scared to tell their age but I am not. The way I look at is is, I have to be thankful for my age because with that comes life. I know a lot of people who I grew up with that didn’t make it to see 30. I’m thankful and proud to be 32.

3. I love to travel. I find that it opens my mind and heart to new things, new people, new experiences and it also makes me more tolerant, mindful, and loving towards people. I feel traveling is one of the best ways to learn compassion and be informed.

4. One of my biggest pet peeve is people having conversations on their phones on speaker. It drives me nuts.

5. I’m an excellent cook. I like to pretend like I cannot cook to stay away from cooking but I cook very well.

6. I’m left handed. This means I’m in my right mind- get it? LOL

7. I also have a full time 9-5 job in education. I’m often asked how do I manage it with what-is-pretty much full time blogging. My answer: when you’re passionate, you make it work. Plus, I have so much support form my man, I couldn’t do it without him.

8. I’m an over-analyzer. I analyze people, situations, and things as if it is second nature. I’m almost always right with my analysis. For this reason, I trust my GUT every time. I do have to be careful sometimes not to judge people or assume things. It’s one of the things I work on daily.

9. I love coffee, teas, flowers, and candles; equally. These four little basics of life makes me super happy.

10. I am obsessed with old English movies or any movie production in the Georgian era.

I hope you guys enjoyed learning more about me. Comment below and let me know if we have something in common and/or tell me something about yourself. Also, please subscribe to my blog here. I promise I do not sent annoying emails, usually one email every two months.

xoxo
