I'm Spilling The Beans- My Three Fitness Secrets

 Hi loves! I know you've heard me talk about fitness here and there, and remember that did we had a fitness challenge here on my bog? That was a while back. Today, I wanted to share a few things with you and one of them being my top three fitness secrets. I think of myself as the average healthy gal, meaning I do just enough to keep by. Sometimes I'll have a streak of excellent fitness and for me, that is a fine balance. To keep my fitness routine and to motivate myself to workout and stay healthy I almost always do these three things:

1. In the gym, I workout in the 'mens' area. You know, the area where almost all the guys congreagte aka the weights section- It motivates me to push really hard and to show off as a girl lifting and being  a beast. I'll watch what they do and challenge myself (in a safe way of course) to do the same. 

2. During yoga sessions, I like to go commando. I said what? Yes, I did. It's just so much more comfortable and breathable, I feel so free when I get into my poses and relaxation never felt better. Being able to feel free and clean is of utmost importance when I practice yoga. 3. I never go "running" I always go "walking". Kudos to those runners and long distance joggers, I see them all the time along the path, but this girl will not run, I walk. Ok you caught me but, I do not lazily walk, I brisk walk as fast as I can. Running can be intimidating and discouraging, I find that walking is much more purposeful for me and I achieve great results just the same. After a good walking session in the evenings, I usually return home super energized, although tired, and I can tell I got a good workout in. 
As you can tell, I enjoy yoga a lot. It really gets my blood flowing an relaxes me like nothing else can. Fitness should be something we enjoy and I find my own ways to enjoy it. They say Californians are obsessed with Yoga and I think it has a lot to do with our beautiful weather year round. Have you been to an outdoor yoga class? Amazing.
