Hi loves!

Happy new week. A new week where new possibilities arise, new adventures, new hopes, new beginnings, and new dreams. There are endless ways to look at a new week and I do hope you embrace your views and flexibility. Today’s post is about balancing, time-management, and hacking your way through life. I’m going to focus on 5 categories and how you can hack your way through these categories but taking little steps and strategizing.

 1. WORK:

Work is one of those life happenings can can easily cause stress and leave no time for yourself. It is inevitable, work has to be done and for a full time worker like myself who also runs a full time blog, I’m always searching for extra hours out of my day. This may sound familiar to you too, I know you are nodding right now. So here’s my tip on how to hack the work stress.

-Be kind and thoughtful to your coworkers/teammates. If you look at it, you ‘live’ with your coworkers 40hours per week and you spend most of your waking hours around them five days per week. A good gesture is to bring donuts for everyone, I mean, who doesn’t like donuts right? Establishing a calming, fun,  and easy work environment can really help make your week great.

 2. SOCIAL:

I know I speak for my fellow millennials that the social life is quite stressful and very hard to maintain, and keeping up with everyone and all that is happening. From social media, to dining out, to climbing career ladders. Here’s my hack:

-I Meet up with my college friends and other blogger pals a lot and we dine out a lot. One way I hack this type of lifestyle is to try to schedule two separate meet ups on the same day and in one general location. So, I will leave work, head to a meet up at 6Pm in location X, and then I will meet up with a second group at 8PM in the same location, X. This saves me time, energy, and parking fees (hello, I live in greater Los Angeles).

 3. FAMILY:

Oh I need a few of you to witness this with me “I don’t see you anymore” “Haven’t talk to you in a while” “When will you stop by”. How guilty do you feel at these cries? Me? very. It  is so hard to keep up and catch up with family members while leading a busy lifestyle. However, for me, it is important to stop in my tracks and figure out how to spend time with my family. Here’s my hack:

-Invite a group of family members out all together or host a game/movie night at home. This way you get to see everyone and you can mingle and catch up side-bar with the ones you haven’t seen or spoken to in a while. This helps so that you do not have to have 15 individual dates,  especially that you do not have that kind of time to meet up.

 4. FITNESS:

Here we go, at this stage in life, I  and probably many of you cannot get away with eating burgers at midnight after hanging out with a bunch of friends (hello college life, I miss you). Instead, we have to get our fitness game going. However, it is quite a demanding role in the life of a millennial, at least for me it is. I know the importance of working out and keeping myself as healthy and fit as I can, but honestly, the time is what breaks me most of the time. Here’s my hack:

-Wake up 30 minutes earlier than normal (I know it is hard but try it), pop a work-out dvd in and get it in for 30 mins. This really and truly sets the tone for a productive day. You can also use your lunch breaks to take a walk or if you work close to a gym, run on over for a 30-45 min work out.

 5. FOOD:

Leading a busy lifestyle means you tend have no time to cook. It becomes easy to grab food on the go and this saves you time right? Well, I beg to differ on this one. It actually does not quite save you time, because where you thought you gained in time, you will have to give it back elsewhere (extra 20 minutes to work off that large french fries). You get my gist right? Here’s my hack:

-Meal prep on Sundays or whichever day is your ‘off/home’ day. Meal prep doesn’t need to be that all your meals are cooked and laid out in tupperware. Meal prep can be as easy as boiling 10 eggs on Sundays, refrigerating them and eating two each morning for breakfast, or seasoning all your meat that you would like to cook during the week. All you have to do is put it in the sink in the morning and it’ll be ready for cooking when you get home. Also, bring lunch to work, bring groceries to work for that matter. You will find it so rewarding and easy when you have sweet tooth to reach for your raisons or dark chocolate rather than running to the vending machine. Here’s a quick little recipe tutorial on my frozen smoothie packets which helps me to save time and have a healthy quick option in the mornings:

 1/2 Banana

1 cup Kale

Handful of Blackberries

Handful of Blueberries

1 Scoop Protein Powder

1 Tbsp Acai Powder

This is one serving, you can make as many bags in one setting, freeze them and in the mornings, put one in your smoothie maker while you get ready.

Loves, you wont ever have it all together, ever (if you do, send me an email and teach me please). It is quite ok to feel out of place, unbalanced, at a loss for equilibrium. What matters is that you get up when you can and take charge as often as you can. Additionally, taking your vitamins are essential and there is no going around it. I take  Centrum Vitamints– and loving the new raspberry flavor, and  Centrum Gummies– which are very addictive, be warned you might eat the whole jar once you pop it open. I take them as a way to ensure some supplement to my daily diet and trying my best to get as many nutritional intakes as possible.

Head to your local Walmart and head over to the pharmacy section, in that aisle you will find the Centrum Vitamins. Loves, here is a coupon link http://cbi.as/3jdwt for you to enjoy and staying healthy with simple solutions like Centrum Gummies and Vitamints. While you have the coupon, stock up and store some at home, in your car, at work, and even in your gym bag.

I hope you found this post useful and that you will incorporate some of my hacks (if you aren’t already), into your lifestyle.  Let me know your favorite Centrum Vitamins.

Thanks for reading darlings. Have a great week.

xoxo
