How to Style Black in Summer, Part One

I know in the summer, we tend to think of bright colors. But black never goes out of season and is always super flattering. I always know I have a classic black outfit in my closet when I can’t think of anything to wear. Black is also neutral and looks great paired with a colorful statement piece. My favorite way to wear black in the summer is with another black piece for a monochromatic look. Here are a few all-black outfit ideas for you this summer!

I am obsessed with this Scoop Women’s Sleeveless Crochet Dress Midi Dress from Walmart! This dress is perfect for the summer heat because the crochet material lets your skin breathe. I would wear this dress for a fancy dinner on the beach with my husband or cocktail night with friends. Honestly, the modest neckline and hem on the dress and slimming shape make it an excellent option for what you have planned this summer. I styled it with a gold accent black belt to slim my waistline. My Manolo Blahniks look great with this dress paired with my black Chanel bag for a chic look.

I’m sticking with Walmart again for this second casual black look. The shirt and shorts are linen material and have a loose fit for comfort and style. Linen is a great material for the summer because it’s not thick and easy to move around. This look is great for everyday errands and running around without feeling constricted by your clothes. Also super cute for meeting friends for lunch or as a swimsuit cover-up for the pool. For a pop of color in this look, I styled it with my hot pink Aquazzara sandals that have black accents and my same Chanel black purse

My favorite thing about these black looks for summer is they are affordable! I mean, black is a color you can find anywhere and does not have to be expensive or boujee. These outfits are super appropriate for summer. The biggest tip I have for styling black clothing is paying attention to light and easy-layer fabric.
