Old Money Fashion Style Aesthetics

Today I want to talk about a look that is as old as time. The effortlessly chic and poise look of old money still has a chokehold on today’s trends. I find this look might not be everyone’s everyday style, but we all aspire to look as good as this look does. Old money fashion also easily translates into an event look, maybe a work event or a date night with your spouse. Let me show you my idea of the perfect old-money aesthetic outfit!

This outfit is effortlessly chic and just screams old money to me. But let’s get into the details, starting off with this fabulous top. This ASOS Luxe Organza Puff Sleeve Embellished Top in Blush is an absolute show stopper. I love how this top inches at my waist and puffs out at the sleeves to give the ultimate slimming appearance. The little pearl details also add to that old money look, something that is a staple in my closet.

Now I know maxi skirts have made a popular comeback recently and are super easy to dress up and down. For this outfit, I think the skirt fits the aesthetic perfectly while adding a modern touch. The best part is they have several color variations in this piece if this is your style. The one I’m wearing is the Max Mara Leisure Ochre Satin Midi Skirt, and it is one of the softest clothing items I own. It also doesn’t wash out the rest of the outfit because of the white details on the shirt.

Accessories are a crucial part of finishing off this look. Obviously, when we think of all old money we think of luxury and elegant handbags. For this look, I couldn’t help but pair it with my YSL Clutch because it’s small and not too loud. You want accessories to complement your outfit, not be the main attraction. For shoes, my Manolo Blahnicks have the perfect touch of fancy with the embellished piece at the top of the shoe. The color also matches my top perfectly which brings the outfit full circle.

I hope you fell in love with this look the same way I did. Let me know in the comments what your ideal old money look consists of!
