Oh the joy of the holidays is so inviting and engaging. I’m the happiest this time of year. I tend to get into the most fun moods and I’m so much more willing to try new things and express myself in new ways. With that said, I’ve partnered with Express on today’s post and they were nice enough to let me express what I want.
I’m a dress gal and you guys know that. I live for beautiful dresses of all shapes, textures, and colors. I am also very particular to dresses around the holidays. This year, I decided to switch things up and add other pieces to my closet. You know, do something new and different. I found these gorgeous mid-rise velvet sequin leggings at my local Express store and I instantly I knew I had to have them. It was going to be my try something different and #ExpressWhatYouWant moment. They are perfectly stretchy and fit so great. I also love that they do not itch one bit. Sequin tend to do that to me, if you’re in the same boat, then fret not, these are great.
My initial thought was to dress these leggings up with a sheer top or a dressy blouse and stiletto heels. Again, I decided to express my style in a different way. Instead I went for cozy-casual-chic with this pretty cold shoulder cable knit sweater in red, to celebrate the holidays. I also picked up these super cute gold dust boots (similar here & here) to complete my look. I threw on my Givenchy bag and a smile to top it all off.
I felt super accomplished in my own way. I made my way to see a rendition of The Nutcracker in my city and then to see a movie with my guy and, a cozy coffee date after. I was comfortable, chic, and engaged in my outfit. Expressing my style an embracing all that the holidays had to offer meant so much to me.
