The Palazzo Las Vegas Weekend Guide

Hi, Loves!

Last weekend, my fiance and I made our way to Las Vegas, for a three day visit. The last time we were in Las Vegas, it didn’t go completely as planned. This time, in partnership with The Palazzo, we did it RIGHT!

I’m writing this post to share with you, how we spent our time and maximized both having fun, and relaxing without putting in too much work.

See, the thing about Las Vegas is that you can become extremely overwhelmed, or your weekend can go by without seeing or doing a mixture of things. Well, that will not be happening moving forward, right?

So we checked in at The Palazzo about 11am on a Thursday, went to our suite and relaxed for a little bit. Our suite was immaculate, and the view was so amazing. I loved that our ‘living room’ area of the suite had its own television. The bed and bedding, felt like we were sleeping on clouds. The bathroom was so beautiful and chic, and everything made me feel as if I was truly on vacation. You need that feeling whenever you travel, it definitely makes a difference.

Once we had settled, we made our way to dinner at Chica, which is located in The Venetian. Both hotels are connected seamlessly. On our way to dinner,we spotted the beautiful LOVE sign, done by artist Laura Kimpton. It’s 12 feet tall and 36 feet wide. This makes for the perfect photo backdrop. Do not miss snapping a few shots there.

We got seated at Chica, and I was already salivating, from peeping in the plates of the folks next to us. The menu is a robust and vibrant blend of Latin American cuisine, with dynamic wine and cocktail selections. We enjoyed the Empanadas, Guacamole, Shrimp and Butter Lettuce Salad, and Meyer Lemon Rotisserie Chicken. Make sure to get a side of their sweet plantains. Try the Chica-Rita, Tamarind Guava Colada or Expat. I also had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and it was exceptionally good.

After dinner, we needed to relax and digest all of that good food. What better way than to relax on a Gondola ride. The beauty of The Palazzo and The Venetian, is that there is so much to do. If you’re looking to do some shopping, try the Grand Canal Shoppes. Also, If you plan to do a Gondola ride, I suggest you book in advance. You can do a private ride or a shared one. It’s romantic, fun and, we felt like we were in Italy for a few minutes 🙂

The next day we really wanted to relax and so we made our way to The Aquatic Club. I love that it offered us a nice private experience, and an amazing DJ spinning all day. We literally just floated on our day-beds and in the pool, while the amazing servers took our drink orders, checked on us, and made sure we were doing great. The service was impeccable.

After a long pool day, we got ourselves ready to see BAZ- A Musical Tour de Force. But before we went to see the show, we stopped byRosina for drinks. I loved the seductive glamour of this bar. It’s old glam with Art Decor flair, just makes you feel like you’re in an old Hollywood movie. We loved the drinks on the menu. Try the Airmail or the Margarita! Ahhh, amazing.

So, no trip to Las Vegas is complete without seeing a show. BAZ-A Musical Tour de Force is a mash-up of music and moments from the greatest love stories. So imagine, Romeo + Juliet, The Great Gatsby, and Moulin Rouge. It was sexy, it was modern and, intimate.

It was about 10:30pm but we didn’t want to call it a night just yet. I mean, we’re in Las Vegas right?!  We decided to go clubbing at the TAO Nightclub. Now, I’m not into much clubbing any more, but when I do, I love chic, glam and fabulous clubs like TAO. The DJ was popping all night and we had a blast.

The next day we were reminded that we’re not so much spring chickens any more so we ordered in room service, and enjoyed a yummy breakfast in our room. We relaxed for a bit then checked out of our suite. Our flight wasn’t until 4:20PM, so we checked our bags at the bell desk, and used the time to explore more of both The Palazzo, and Venetian. We had a quick lunch at Bouchon before we made our way to the airport.
