5 Tips For A Successful Side Business

This post was sponsored by Acer. All opinions are 100% my own.

Hello there my Loves!

Hope you are all having the best day today. For those of you who have been following my blog since 2014, you have seen the growth of Style Weekender first hand. Today I want to share with you some of the things I learned along the way. It’s been a beautiful journey to say the least and I hope this post inspires you to embark on your dream or to push harder at whatever you are currently working on.

When I began blogging, I was in college finishing up my masters. At that point I was also working full time (I still do) and I owned an Acer laptop that was my life saver. I literally took it everywhere with me. I was reading the blogs, doing assignments, shopping online, streaming movies,

listening to music–literally everything. It was like my own personal assistant. That Acer laptop was the start of my blogging business.

Here are my 5 Tips For A Successful Business:

1. Invest in a functional, powerful, and sleek laptop. This device will become your best friend for your side business. I recently decided on this beautiful Acer Swift 7 laptop and it’s a beast. It’s the thinnest and lightest laptop I’ve ever seen. The sleek gold design is also perfect for my flatly shots and, aligns beautifully with my brand-simple, yet chic. I also love how fast it is. I edit my photos and save them and it moves like lightning. All the software  I need to execute my business is right here on my laptop. It fits in my handbag, backpack and, even my medium to large cross body bags. I’m excited to travel with it too. It has become my everything just like my other one back in the day.

2. Register your business. I know this sounds like a tedious job but it’s actually very easy to do. All you have to do is, set aside a half day to commit to filling out and, processing all the documents at your appropriate government facility. Follow-through on doing everything they told you to legitimize your business.

3. Get an EIN number. This you will process after you’ve registered your business. You will do this via the IRS. It’s super easy and it will really help you to differentiate between your personal ss# and your business.

4. Advertise your business. Find the strongest and most effective medium to advertise your business and continue to do so. All strong, powerful company advertise, continuously. If you plan on staying in business, advertisement is a huge part of longevity and success.

5. Keep proper books/accounting. This is so important to ensure an effective and successful business. Know how you are spending, what you are spending on, what is relevant, what is working and adjust as you go along.

I hope you found this post useful.

Let me know when you pick up this Acer Swift 7 laptop and how you like it.

xoxo
