Oh, the holidays is in full swing and it is evident everywhere I go. I was in Target yesterday and the store and parking lot was jam packed. It made me think, “hmm the holidays seems to be super hectic this year”. I’m usually one of those folks doing last minute shopping and running around crazy but oh no, not this year. With all of that I thought I would share 5 tips on how to ensure that you have a relaxing holiday season. It’s so important to not let the holiday pass you by because you were busy or running around all the time. So here are my recommendations:
1. Shop online. Yes, you can still shop for gifts and items for your loved ones. It’s super easy and you do not have to deal with store lines or parking fuss. See my PayPal Gift Ideas Holiday post here. This will help you select easy, wonderful items for everyone.
2. Take a mini getaway or a stay-cation: A mini getaway could mean one night stay in a Home Away or AirBnb. It could be in your very own city. Walk around and see all the lights, holiday decor, and people watch. It’s actually super calming. This will take you away from you everyday life and add a wonderful holiday memory to your year. I’m heading to the Dominica Republic tonight so stay tune to my Instagram for all that’s happening, especially on my Insta stories.
3. Enjoy Take-out. With all the holiday festivities and all the events, parties etc you have to attend, take advantage of take-out and stay out of the kitchen a bit. It doesn’t have to be costly. Grab a rotisserie chicken from your local grocery store, a mix bag of salad, garlic bread and easy peasy, dinner is ready. This is so good especially if you have children.
4. Take the time out to watch holiday classics with your family. If you have Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, or your regular cable channels. There are non stop holiday movies. Enjoy some memorable time with your family.
5. If you do holiday cards. Check out online services such as Tiny Prints (see my post from last year) or Shutterfly. Order them online with photos you already have.
