Los Angeles Living: Museum Of Ice Cream & Wine Safari

Hi Loves! Happy weekend. I just wanted to pop in and share this post with you all. Last month a few of my friends were in town and we visited the Museum Of Ice Cream, Los Angeles. Now, you must have seen many pictures on social media about MOIC. It was so much fun. This is not only for kids, it's also for adults. I mean I was like a kid for a good fifty minutes.
This is a “museum” set up to honor the love of Ice Cream. Each room was decorated with fun bright colors and inspired by ice cream. Every wall was picturesque and the energy simply made you forget about the world and its issues. I encourage you to take yourself and your kids when it comes to your town if you do not live in Los Angeles. Go to their website for more information. 

Like I said, my friends were in town and we also visited Malibu Wine Safaris. I have been there before (Readthis post) and it was such a lovely experience I had to recommend that we go back there. My friends loved it. 




Los Angeles is such a beautiful city. There is so much to do and I really enjoy living here.

Tips And Tricks To Shopping For Fall

Hi Loves!
So, I wanted to help you all save some money yet look chic and fab this Fall. It's so easy to see us Influencers wear the latest pieces in stores and then you get overwhelmed by how many new items we recommend every day, week, month... I personally do not want to see you all trying to empty your bank accounts, that is not #girlpower (goes for you too, guys). Instead, I strive to inspire you through my style. Maybe I am wearing dress that looks similar to something you have in your closet, then go shop your closet. Or, often I am hoping by sharing new brand for what's hot I build your awareness around what is out there for whenever you are ready to shop. That's my goal. 
Now, I recommend that if you wan too get a few pieces, you should shop early-mid season of each season. Being that we are still early Fall, here a a few recommendations & tips an tricks as you shop for the Fall

-Invest in a Faux-Fur Vest if you havent already. Keep the colors versatile so that you can wear it both Fall & Winter. I have owned this one for over three years now and I have worn it on this blog over an dover again. I wore it here in the winter of 2015 & my black with touch of white one worn in 2016 here. Here are a few reasonable priced options to shop this Fall:

-Pull out all of your past Fall colored dresses- Burgundy's, Mustard, Tortuous, Rust, Red, Orange, Earthy Tones. You don't need to buy new ones, these colors never go out of "Fall" style. Style them with ankle boots, over the knee boots, stockings, and coats. Here are a few affordable options if you are looking to shop new pieces:

-If you don't own a plaid blanket scarf, you should get one. Nothing says Fall more than a plaid blanket scarf. It's so versatile and can take you look from blah to bam and you can use it as a blanket in him for even at the park.

You can look out for sales on Thursdays online. The dos popular weekend affordable sales stores are Old NavyH&MForever21MisguidedAsosPretty Little ThingAmazon, and Loft to name a few. One of my favorite anytime of year-always a sale store is Shein. However, Shein sizes are usually off. I suggest you use  tape measure to measure yourself and compare it to their measurements listed/ Also, pay attention tot he reviews, especially the one with photos of actual items bought on their site.

Macy's and Nordstrom are amazing department stores to shop online, too.

I recommend you do more shopping online than in store. Most stores give you 30 day return plus free returns. Others such as NordstromTargetMacy'sBloomingdales will give you 90 days to return. Also, you can almost always find a coupon online or free shipping.

One notable sale is Kate Spade 75% off sale. It usually pops up mid to late October. This is a great time to snag holiday gifts for family and friends.

Also, employ memberships such as Shop Runner or Amazon Prime for two day delivery.

Simple Habits That Will Make You Happier

Hi Loves!
Hope your week is off to an excellent start. Today I wanted to keep things light and positive. I have mentioned in a prior blog post that I am finding it more fulfilling sharing with you all some of the positive route I take in my life that are easily adaptable and will lead to a better quality of life. I am by no means a "Life Guru" nor do I have all of my shit together. I am merely choosing to use my platform to spread positive vibes in every way I can. Naturally, that is who I am, I am a positive person and I think it is important that we all spread as much of it as we can. Although a major disclaimer- I am positive but I not a push over or butt-kisser. I find that people tend to think that positive people are push overs but, not this one. I do have a sassy side and my personality is strong in who I am. I like to call it, I AM CORED!

So on with it. Here are 5 simple habits that I find make me happier and I know it can do the same for you too.



1. Smile, Smile, Smile- I greet almost everyone with a smile. I find that it is the unspoken interaction that breaks a friendly ice and provide comfort and care in an unspoken way. I do not have to know you to care about you nor do I have to know you to wish you well. I offer that through my smile to strangers and connect souls as we exchange that. Smiling will make you feel happier internally, you might not even realize it but try it continuously for a week and see how much better you feel. 

2. Hug tightly- hugging is scientifically been proven to increase mood. If this isn't enough to get you hugging people more, then I don't know what will. Side-bar, I am a germophobe so I do not always warm up to hugging everyone, especially if they smell or look dirty. I am just being HONEST here guys. However, I do find that breaking my comfort zone and hugging someone I wouldn't normally hug, makes me proud and happier within. 

3. Offer up or giveaway something you didn't intend on doing/giving- You can do this once every month if the item or action is of great value. I tend to hold on to things or items especially if they are expensive. I find that when I decide to gift or bless someone else with something or spending extra bucks, I feel immensely happy. 

4. Eat good for a week- Yes, I said it. Treat yourself to a balanced week of eating. Maybe try a plant based diet for a week or vegetarian or simply nourishing you body with good stuff. You'll see how much more energy you have and how much happier you will feel, 

5. Exercise- Ok, this sounds so cliche and it probably is but hear me out. I am your typical start a work out life then pause then re-enter type of gal. However, I have found that overtime when I am on track and working out regularly I feel happier. I am proud to say I am currently on track with my work out. I do group training with a trainer 3 times per week for an hour and do I feel great and happier? I sure do.

My Natural Hair Care Routine With Hair Food

Today's post is partnered with Hair Food and Simply, sharing my tips with you on how I take care of my natural hair. I'll give you step-by-step process and share with you my favorite line of hair products plus some easy homemade tips to help you with your hair. I absolutely love the Hair Food Sulfate Free Hair Milk Collection. It has been a part of my hair care regimen since the beginning of this year. The line gently smooths and hydrates my hair while giving it the nourishment and shine that it needs. 
My natural hair journey started a little over 4 years ago. My sister was my motivation to discontinue perming my hair and growing it out. I decided to take meticulous care of my hair and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Next to my skin, my hair gets the second most detailed attention because having healthy hair is key for me. My routine is also great for all hair types because it’s simple, yet effective.
Step 1: I section my hair in 4 quarters and then I massage coconut oil through each quarter. Once I am done, I wash my hair with the Hair Food Sulfate Free Hair Milk Shampoo. The shampoo is super hydrating and a great precursor to the conditioner    
Step 2: Once I am done with my shampoo, I use the Hair Food Sulfate Free Hair Milk Conditioner. I take about 5 minutes to finger de-tangle my hair. I love how well it moisturizes and smooths my strands, and plus, the formula helps seal and protect hair from future damage.Step 3: I’ve been using the Hair Food Moisturizing Hair Mask, especially after returning from Fashion Week. I absolutely love it. I section my hair in quarters again and apply it from root to tip. I cover my hair with a steam cap and leave it on for 5 minutes. Upon rinsing, my hair feels so strong and beautiful.

I never leave my hair out just bare. I always have fresh aloe vera plant in my home. I simply cut about 3 inches off, slice it down the middle and then immerse it in a cup of water. I shake that around until the water develops a slimy texture. I put it in a spray bottle, add a bit of my Hair Food Sulfate Free Conditioner to the bottle and, spray the solution all over my hair. I then add Jamaican Castor Oil, or Olive Oil or Coconut Oil, especially on my tips to lock and seal in all that moisture and hydration.

I twist my hair up or let it air dry and the next day I blow dry. 


Hair Tip: Mix a cup of water and 4 tbsp. of Apple Cider Vinegar and spray it on your hair before you wash. This is especially if you hair is really damaged or super dry. This along with Hair Food Sulfate Free Hair Milk Collection will have your hair feeling and looking amazing.
