Afternoon Tea At Sketch

Hello Loves!

Ah, I have been wanting to share this post with you for a while now. Now, if you follow me on Instagram then you must know by now my love for tea. Every other month I go to tea with my fairy godmother 🙂 and we have a thing where we visit a new tea restaurant each time. I love coffee but coffee became a new love when I entered my early 20s. I grew up on tea and it likely had to do with our British influence as Jamaica (where I was born and raised) was ruled by England from 1655 until we gained our independence in 1962. Side bar: I’m so proud of myself for remembering that…Hello History geek!

With that said, I always make it  point of my duty to enjoy afternoon tea whenever I visit my mom in London. This time, as a blogger, I had to capture the beauty of Sketch and share my experience with you. Sketch is known for their infamous pink room. Afternoon tea is served in the room as well as other beautifully decorated rooms, but, this is undoubtedly the most gorgeous. My recommendation is that you make your reservations at least a month in advance

We were greeted and seated by lovely hosts and treated with the one of the highest level of customer service. The menu was explained, recommended, and executed very well. Everything was just perfect and I really cannot say otherwise.

The decor was simply amazing and I was particularly in love with the pictures on the wall and the witty encryptions. Gaudy ceilings and soft delicate lighting.

Now, let’s talk about the bathrooms in Sketch. A bathroom so beautifully decorated, you do not want to leave. I’m highly a germaphobe and bathrooms gross me out. I have to tell you, I lingered and frolicked in the bathroom with these cute single pod stalls. Not to mention there was lovely music coming from speakers and it smelled great. The idea of entering a potty by yourself and not having to see your potty partner feet was quite gratifying.

It was an afternoon well spent at Sketch and I cannot wait to go back. Here are the details on what I wore. I actually picked this dress up in Zara while I was in London.

Once we were done with Sketch, we were making our way to the bus stop and just next door was a lovely Indian tea company. I had a cup of iced tea and bought myself few loose leaves to take home. Their flavors were tasty. Stop by if you go to Sketch.

We finished the day with a beautiful rendition of The Lion King and the performance was simply amazing. I always see a show whenever I go to London and I am always impressed and satisfied.

I do hope you guys enjoyed this post and let me know if you have gone to Sketch or planning to.

Till next time my loves

xoxo
