Merry Christmas From Barbara's Tea House

Merry Christmas to you all. I hope this holiday season brings you and your family so much joy. Christmas has different meaning to most of us but I find that the underline tone is a love for family and friends and a time of sharing and celebrating. Whatever it means to you, I wish for you peace and joy.
For those of you who follow me on Instagram or Snap, you likely have seen me gone to a few tea resturants over the past 18 months. Here's the story behind that. My "fairy godmother" yes, she is a real person and I have a fondness for tea and we have these cute dates every few weeks to visit a different tea house. Since we began visiting tea housed in September 2015 (my birthday)- See post here we likely have gone to 7 or 8 tea spots. We both enjoy tea so much and for me it is a special time when we get together.  I look forward to going to more teatime with my 'fairy godmother' in 2017. She is also one of those people, I am thankful for in my life.

In this post, for Christmas, we visited Barbara's Victorian Tea House in Rancho Cucamonga. The story is that this house is decorated with christmas decor all year round. It is owned and operated by a lovely woman, Barbara. There is so much detail and precision that go into serving you and making sure you have a great tea time. It is so cozy and they have a wide array of tea choices. My favorite thing from Barbara's Tea house is their caramel scone. OMG the most delicious scone that has ever graced my mouth. I highly recommend that if you live in California (esp SoCal) or if you visit SoCal/LA area, take a drive down to Barbara's Victorian Tea House and tell her I sent ya.
Here are a few photos I snapped to share with you.

A merry Christmas and a Happy New year to you all.

Blushed Monochrome

Hello darling loves.
Ah the year is coming to an end and I am trying to hold on to it a best as I can. I'm literally up to my neck with work and plans for this blog. I'm currently visiting nome, Jamaica, and I am really using the time to retreat and really put into place what I want to do with this blog in 2017. I have so many ideas and reservations. See, I'm one of those people who is highly afraid to fail and that fear sometime should me back. I'm really trying to center myself and take a new leap into this blogging journey and to share a bit more with you all. I think it is fair and I want you all, my readers, to feel connected to me and vice versa. I love blogging and I really hope you stick around with me and tell your friends and you friends friends to subscribe and let's be on this journey together.

Now, about my outfit in today's post, I recently hung out with three other gal pals of mine. One was visiting from out of town and the rest of us lives in LA. We took her to a quaint area of LA called Platform for a blogger lunch time. We had such  great time talking blogging, like and even motherhood, although two of us aren't moms. It's so refreshing to be able to spend time with likeminded girls in this community because sit can reality be looney. I love and appreciate then so much. Check them out on Instagram @Ravayna , @xo.rachelpitzel and @thedandyliar and of course you can find me @styleweekender .
Sometimes you know exactly what you are going to wear and other times you just put it together in the moment. That was the case for me this day. I decided to just go blush and add a bit of red for pop.
I hope you enjoyed how I styled this look. I would also love to hear your thoughts on topics you would love for me to write about. If you do not feel comfortable to post it in the comment section, send me an email (styleweekender@gmail.com)

Dermaflash: The Ultimate Gift For Any Woman This Holiday Season

Well hello my loves!
I'm bringing this post to you beaming with so much joy and excitement. You know why? Because I am in utter love with Dermaflash and I'm also here to solve the nerve wrecking "what should I get her" for christmas question.
Ok, hear me out for a second. I'm your ultimate skin care junkie-no shame. A friend of mine and I were having a conversation and she scantly mentioned that she just tried this thing called Dermaflash. I noticed the uber sheer glow she had going on and so I was instantly drawn to Dermaflash. Dermaflash is the first in home exfoliating facial treatment that delivers spa quality in just a few quick minutes. Loves, literally 5 minutes and my face goes from blah to bright. I was a tad bit skeptical because my girlfriend is Caucasian and I'm Black and I wasn't sure if it would have done me as much justice as it did her. You guys, OH-EM-GEE I could't believed how smooth (as a baby's buttocks) my face was after trying Dermaflash. It's definitely perfect for all ages and all ethnicities.
I was texting my girlfriends like "have you tried Dermaflash, girl you should". Then I realized how perfect of a gift this would be for us ladies. I told my guy to get one for his mom and some of my males friends to get for their wives, girlfriends, sisters, nieces because without a doubt this is a great option for gifting this holiday. I also found out that Dermaflash will be having a 30% off starting today (No Code Needed). It's usually $189 but with this discount it will be $132. This is their best discount ever and only for 5 days so get in line and treat your female friends, relatives with the best gift ever.
Dermaflash is so easy to use. Here are my quick steps in getting flash in under 5 minutes and ready to go out the door right after.
Cleanse your skin with Dermaflash prep step 1 and pat dry your face.
Glide Dermaflash device onto the edge, slide up, and one will be inserted into the device.
Pull skin upward and slide Dermaflash along the cheek bone, entire side of your face, chin, a top lip, and then forehead. Soothe right after with the step 3 hydrating lotion.
Once you are done, glide the Dermaflash device back on the edge, pull outward to release the used blade.
Now, one of my girlfriend asked me if I think she would cut herself while doing her treatment. I assured that if a clumsy lefty like myself can easily and confidently do a Dermaflash treatment ONCE per week then she can too. The truth though is that the blade is so beautifully designed to rid cutting or scraping. Really loves, it's so simple and effective you will not believe it yourself.
I want to know who wants to try this awesome product out and who will you gift it to this holiday season. If for one second you cannot decide on a gift, go with this one. I promise it will be loved and well received.

Thanks for swinging by loves
xoxo

3 Unique Gift Wrapping Tips That Won't Break The Bank

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and The Coca-Cola Company. All opinions are mine alone.#SavorTheMemory #CollectiveBias
Happy Monday loves! Christmas is only a few days away and if you haven't yet wrapped all of your gifts, then I have a few inexpensive gift-wrapping ideas for you.

One of my Christmas traditions is to host my cousins for brunch to wrap gifts. It is such a great way to bond and exchange laughs capturing the spirit of the holidays. I usually bake a peach cobbler (which is super delicious), a yummy quiche a serve seasonal drinks such as Coca-Cola and Gold Peak. I picked my drinks up at my local Pavilions in the soda aisle. You can save when you buy 4 participating Coca-Cola products and enjoy $20 off at Shutterfly.com. Offer will be executed via Catalina print-out at register with unique pin code to redeem online here
I love the holiday packaging of my favorite holiday drinks and the same exceptional taste. Anything that encourages the spirit of Christmas you can count me in.
Here's How I save a few big bucks on gift wrapping:
1. Use old holiday colored theme grocery bags- I tend to save green, red, gold or a mixture of these colors grocery bags. It's such an easy and great way to reuse those bags that you likely paid 10 cents for. It also adds a nice personal touch.
2. Use Rosin Paper- brown rosin paper is such a good option and it is not only for painting. You can also use grease paper or any solid art paper.
2. Twine (tying twine on any decor gives it a lovely touch)- I love using twines a way to finish off my decor. I use it all year round and it does a great job at adding a cute rustic touch.
Don't forget to enjoy the Shutterfly deal when you buy 4 or more Coca-Cola products up to 12/28.
Happy Holidays Darlings
Share with me and other readers some of your inexpensive holiday wrapping ideas.

My Fall Travel Skincare & Haircare Must Haves

Hi Loves!
With my upcoming trip back home to Jamaica, I started making a list of all the things I need to pack. I usually do that a week before I travel, that way I do not forget stuff. There are some items that are always in my travel kit and then sometimes I like trying out a few new ones to see how they keep up and how well they serve me when I travel. This is what this post is about.

First up is my Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant. I love Dove products and this type of antiperspirant is so good when travelling. I especially love taking it with me to tropical destinations because it's a good reactor to sweat and last a long time. I'm obsessed with the array of scents but I especially love the Chamomile scent. If I'm wearing black (home or away) or deep dark colors, this is the only deodorant I will use. I really eliminates that white powder and stain.
Next up is this amazing product, StriVectin Neck Tightening Cream and Neck Serum Roller I have been using at home and will take it with me on my travel for the first time. I know you might be thinking, does she need a neck tightening serum. Uhm, it's never too early in my opinion. Well it can be, if your like 14 years old, but I think at adult age when the body really starts to change, it's good to really embark on paying attention and taking care of yourself. Follow me and keep up with my Instagram stories as I travel and I will let you know how it goes with the warm weather in Jamaica. Yikes!!!
So, this is a must have when I travel, Derma E Hydrating Night Cream. Hydration for my skin and hair is extremely important. This night cream is such a great way to collapse each day. Key word is Hydrating. I love that it is really light and smells soft. My skin feels different every time I treat it with this cream at nights. This is also good for Winter and Summer months for regular at home use.
For my hair, aside from my usual cowash and conditioners, I love these mini sized Marrakesh products. The Let is Shine Mist and the Oil Hair Styling Elixir. These really help to tame my hair in new weather conditions and keep it looking healthy and a nice sheen.
And finally, my obsession with Aveda and their amazing products. I always take these mini bottles with me, Hair Spray , Thickening Tonic , and Dry Shampoo

I hope you all found this post useful. I recommend taking mini containers of your favorite products when you travel. Or buying travel containers and pouring products in them. You can sometimes loose your products by throwing them away because you really prefer to take that new keepsake item you bought on your trip.

Let me know some of your favorite Travel items. I always love trying new stuff.
xoxo
