Print Mix

Hey guys, a happy Friday to you all. It is the start of the weekend and I do hope that if you have plans for the weekend it will go great, if not, I wish you a relaxing weekend. For today’s look I went with mixing prints. When I was growing up it was important to match your colors but never your prints. There were a few rules of thumb like match shoes with your handbag, or shoes with top etc. As I grew older I created my own fashion and what felt comfortable for me. I remember going to church and turning my dresses into skirts and vice versa. Or going out and cutting my shorts and tops to make a brand new piece of clothing! Just being creative because I can get quite bored with my own style. One of the things I love about fashion and style is that you can  make it your own. There are no rules and if there are, break them, right?

With print mixing, I like to find one solid color in both prints and choose that to work with. In this outfit, the solid color I am focusing on is black. Another way I mix prints is by adding two opposite prints, like stripes and leopard, or checkered and floral.

How do your mix your prints?
